SUBJECT AND PREDICATE
Subject : The subject is that part of a sentence about which something is said. The subject may be a person, place or thing. (noun/pronoun). Predicate : The predicate is that part of sentence which says something about the subject. The predicate starts with a verb. Examples of Predicate : 1. Mohan is a very good boy . 2. Ragu writes neatly . 3. Running is a good exercise . 4. Balanced diet is useful for health . 5. Sheetal wrote a beautiful book . SENTENCE = SUBJECT + PREDICATE The subject of a sentence usually comes first, But, it can come after the predicate also. Examples 1. Here comes the train. Subject: the train, Predicate : here comes (comes here) 2. Noise are the causes of headache.
