Uses of Ellipsis to Show an Omission of a Word or Words from a Text. An ellipsis is a punctuation mark consisting of three dots . When an Ellipsis ends a sentence, four dots are used. Euphemism  is  the   polite expression and it is used in  the  place of words or phrases that are comparatively unpleasant or harsh. Instead of harsh words, mild words are used.
