ARTICLES

An article is a word used to modify a noun, which is a person, place, object, or idea. Articles are used to point out or refer to nouns. There are two different types of articles: definite articles and indefinite articles .  A)  Indefinite article: It is always Singular. ‘A’ and ‘An’ are used. The article  a  /  an  is used when we don't specify the things or people we are talking about. For example: a)    I took a pen from box. b)    I saw a bird. c)    An apple a day keeps doctor away. It is unusual to use   a/an  for uncountable nouns.             You can't say “I drank a water”.
