Difference between Adjective and Noun

  If an Adjective is used without a Noun, and article 'the' is before it in a sentence, then it becomes a NOUN and not an ADJECTIVE.   1. He is a intelligent student.   Ans. " intelligent' is an Adjective which describes the Noun man. 2. The intelligent study the books well. Ans.   A fter the word "intelligent” there is no Noun. Before the   word "intelligent', there is article - The .   So, in this sentence, 'intelligent' is a Noun and not an Adjective.    Say whether the Underlined word is a Noun or an Adjective. 1.
