Difference between Adjective and Noun
If an Adjective is used without a Noun, and article
'the'
is before it in a sentence, then it becomes a NOUN and not an ADJECTIVE.

He is a intelligent student.
Ans.
"intelligent' is an Adjective which describes the Noun man.

The intelligent study the books well.
Ans.
After
the word "intelligent” there is no Noun. Before the word "intelligent', there
is article - The. So,
in this sentence, 'intelligent' is a Noun and not an Adjective.
