Example no.2:
Prevention is better than cure

The proverb ‘prevention is better than cure’ advice us to take necessary steps to prevent something unwanted from happening.
This proverb means that it is easy to stop in first place  than to repair the damage after it has happened. It is better to stop something bad from happening, than to deal with it after it has happened.

W
e often do things carelessly. When our elders say something to us, we ignore their signs. Finally when the trouble occurs, we regret. But, then it is too late. This proverb advice us to take necessary steps to prevent something unwanted from happening.

The proverb stresses with the precaution in dealing with every situation in our lives. During Covid-19, we should wash our hands regularly and cover your face with mask. Instead of wasting lakhs of Rupees in hospital, we should take preventive measures like covering our face, sanitizing our hands. Therefore, it is advisable to take preventive measures than to be treated after the situation has occurred.

This proverb stresses the need for foresight and safeguard in dealing with every situation in our lives in order to avoid facing troubles. When the trouble occurs, we regret our neglect, but by then it is too late. We all know that prevention is better than cureThus if we develop such an attitude, it would certainly help us in advance rather than crying afterward.

Example no.3:
The Pen is mightier than the sword

The proverb means that writing is more powerful than military power or violence. It signifies that words are more powerful. Though we know that pen is smaller in size than sword, the capability of writing is more noteworthy than war. Through writing we can express thoughts, and by reading it, it will impact many minds and has a capacity to change millions of hearts.

A sword can be handled well by a fighter, who is physically well built and strong, but words can flow from a pen to millions of people. Words are powerful and can be explained in detail. Sword brings only war, whereas pen creates something useful. Sword have a negative impact, whereas a pen has a positive impact which implies that one is willing to accept new information which justifies changing one’s opinion.

Battles were fought for honour, or to take control over a particular area means destruction but great writers and thinkers have inspired the masses, the teachings of Dr. B. R. AmbedkarSavitribai Phule, Gandhi had everlasting effects on huge masses. So embrace the pen and throw away all swords and weapons of mass-destruction. Thus the sword might be powerful but cannot conquer millions of hearts and minds, the way pen does.

Example no.4:
Where there is a will there is a way

A caption of cricket may think that to win against a great team is not possible, a student may think to come first in class is impossible, a salesman may have an opinion that achieving target is impossible. But if each one makes a firm decision and work according to it, achieving his goal, nothing is impossible. Success will be at his doorsteps.

In past period, people use to think of flying in the air, going on the moon, going deep inside the ocean and so on.
Earlier it was a dream, but today it has become a reality. Today we enjoy all the luxurious things that was a dream 200 years ago. Nothing is impossible everything is possible.

A man should think in positive way in any situation. I
f you work continuously to achieve your goals, you can surely find a way. You should have positive approach, good will power and constant efforts. Even if you are physically weak but your will power is high no one can stop you. Human will power is very powerful which can defeat any difficulty and give extraordinary results. Many great leaders like  Mahatma Gandhi, Lokmanya Tilak, Shivaji Maharaj as well as great scientist like Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei who saw big dreams and they achieved  it because they had strong will power towards their goal. They were having positive attitude, strong will power and hence they achieved  their goal. They never gave up during hard times and had commitment towards their work. Therefore they became successful.

Now-a-days, most of the people of this generation don’t have patience and will. This attitude should change. This English proverb ‘where there is a will there is a way’ means that we cannot succeed in our life without strong will power. Nothing is impossible everything is possible if you have strong will power and capacity of hard work.

Let us cultivate a strong will,
determination, dedication to achieve our goals for where there is a will there is a way. Victory will be in our hands.

Example no.5:
Nature the best teacher

Nature is a great and world's best teacher. There are many things to learn from NatureNature teaches us how live a life, respect everything within nature and to be calm. Everything in nature is so grand and flawlessly perfect. Nature always gives us everything that we want and never expects from us. Nature has taught us to come up in the field of science, agriculture, religion and new invention.

Nature teaches us to be connected. Different personalities like mountaineers, artists, tourists, gardeners and many other are connected to nature. It encourages connection with creativity and adaptation to a particular situation. The ant does work all the day and that too in disciplined manner. It teaches us to do hard work in disciplined manner. Many flowers or insects live for one day, but they dance in air, enjoy their life to the fullest, in the same way we should also enjoy our life, be whatever difficulty comes in our life. Trees gives fruit to others rather than to keep it for themselves. this teaches the value of giving rather than receiving. By observing animals we learn to live together. Nature also teaches us that everyone is great in their own way. Nature also teaches us to adjust as per surrounding like the changing seasons.

So nature is the best teacher. It teaches us real selflessness, true renunciation and sacrifice. We must respect her.

Example no.6:
Man is known by the company he keeps.

A person tends to be very similar in attitude, character or personality to the people with whom he spend time.  Like minded people are always known to associate together. They like to talk about their common problems or they may be having same interest in particular activities. These people prefer to be with each other. That is how these people are judged by others.

Friends exert a  great influence upon our character. If you enjoying with bad company, it will be judged. If we mix with bad people, we shall get their bad habits and we will also become bad. On the other hand if we mix with good, hardworking and honest people, we will be like them. No one will question us. Our characters will thus be judged by our friends. Therefore it is really important that we choose our company with utmost care. We should avoid bad company. Whenever we start to go in bad activities, a true companion will try their best to correct us.

Our friends reflect our own ideas and thoughts. Thus it is well said that  man is known by the company he keeps

Example no.7:

Dreams don't allow you to sleep

The proverb means that ambition in our life will not allow us to sleep. If you have ambition in your life you will not sleep any time. If you want to achieve anything in your life, you will set goal for it. You will work hard day and night to achieve your goal.

If you have set big dreams in your life, you will start to work for it. You will not be lazy and you will sleep very little. Many successful persons who have achieved their initial goals and want to achieve more goals in their life barely sleep for four to five hours per day. They will not waste their time. In the same way if a student want to be topper in class, he will study day and night. He will not pass the time relaxing or sleeping all the day. He will definitely be the topper. There are many businessman, players, political leaders who have achieved their goal by focusing on it. They sleeps very little.

So if you look at any person who is successful, you will come to know that they sleep very little. So this proverb is true that dreams don’t allow you to sleep.

Example no.8:

As you Sow, so shall you Reap

The proverb
As you sowso you reap,” is inbuilt a powerful message for all aspiring humanity. It is one of the famous sayings and it has got lots of meaning. We have to bear the consequence of our own action. If we are doing good things to others like helping needy person,  we also get good things in return. If we are doing bad things like cheating others, we also get bad things in return. Hence we should be careful about it.

For example, if a farmer sows seeds of rice, he will get rice only. If he sows seeds of wheat, he will get wheat only. Similarly other farmer who sows seed of rice, he cannot expect wheat crops out of it. The law of nature tells us that we must sow what we wish to reap. Even if he starts to complain about it, he will not get help from anybody. He should the seeds what he wants. This is true for all our actions and words.

Life is very similar. If we do good deeds, we will be rewarded. If we perform bad deeds, our life will be miserable and there will be no peace of mind. We have to bear the consequence of our actions.

Man can decide his future by his present deeds. If we help others, others will also help us. If we are kind to others, others will also be kind to us. If we cheat others or give bad words to other or show indifferent attitude towards other, others will also behave in same way. If student study well, he will get good marks in exam and his future will be bright. But if he does not study at all and he just do time pass, he will fail in exam as well as in his life. So this proverb give us a strong lesson that we should be very careful in our action.

Example no.9:

Handsome Is As Handsome Does

The proverb
'Handsome is as handsome does ' means outer look or beautiful face doesn't mean that person is good, kind and humble from inside. Physical beauty is not the true test of handsomeness. Real beauty lies in deeds and actions. Good deeds are more important that good looks. Outer beauty is not permanent and it diminishes with time while the deeds done by a person are permanent. A persons character and behaviour matters more than his outer personality. It is a real beauty of a handsome person.

We should not judge a man by his external appearance alone. That man may have impressive personality but he may not be good at heart.  Once people come to know about this, people will hate him  and his impression will get tarnished. People like Mahatma Gandhi, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule or A. P. J. Abdul Kalam are remembered all over the world for the work they have done for welfare of mankind and for their supreme sacrifices and selfless actions. They were men of principles.

In other words, a person can be really called handsome only if he is good, kind and humble in his character instead of being attractive externally. These person with ordinary looks may be intellectual or spiritual. Hence it is rightly said that handsome is that handsome does.

Example no.10:

One has to clear many obstacles before the goal of achievement. If you keep persevering long enough, you will achieve your true potential. It enhances the goals value for you.

Great men have persevered to attain success in life. You can take an example of Sachin Tendulkar have achieved success in his life due to never give up attitude. His perseverance made him Number one cricketer. The secret behind his success was nothing but perseverance. Students of standard tenth who comes first in school study for long hours. They study hard for full one year and at last they become topper in school. It is the only way of improving their performance. There are many personalities in various field who have persevered to attain success in life.

But without perseverance, he will end up failing to achieve his ultimate goals in life. Perseverance involves persisting in one's work, having the patience to go on with it despite hurdle and failures and spending enough time to get the task done. Hence perseverance is the key to success.

Example no.11:

Nothing teaches better than travelling

We all know that life's real education happens outside the classroom. Travelling teaches us lot of things. In fact travelling is a best teacher. Travel is an important means of expanding your knowledge. It stretches the imagination. Travelling definitely makes you a good person as it helps you to be self aware, broad minded and intelligent. It helps us to be mentally strong in any situation that was being experienced. Travel refreshes your mind by providing new experiences. You will keep on learning new things.

When we travel to other countries, we come to know about their cultures, their lifestyle, habits and languages. Travel brings you in contact with new culture, new people and new places. We can see their difficulties and problems. It is a best way to learn new things. We can see beautiful beaches, forts, beautiful mountains, waterfalls and many wonders of the world. We learn to value little things, perspective is broadened, confidence is boosted and you make new friends. Travel teaches you initiative.  You become adventures.

We learn lot of things from travelling. Traveling changes lives and teaches us about ourselves and the world we live in. You become more mature. Hence it is rightly said that nothing teaches better than travelling.

Example no.12:

A Bad Workman Blames his Tools

The proverb means that a person who has done something badly will seek to lay the blame on their equipment rather than admit his own mistakes. Our success depend upon how we use them, it does not depend on what kind of tools we have. A good workman would take all responsibility on himself for any fault and he will not blame his equipment. Therefore if some one blame his tools for poor work, he must not be very skilled. In other words, a person who cannot do skilled work even with his best tools is a unskilled person. He can never complete a job successfully. Whereas a person can make a success of any work given to him by making effective use of what is available with him.

This is applicable in all spheres of life. A student who is really brilliant and good in his studies will know how to study and make time management. Even if he support his family by doing household jobs, he will find time to study and will put hundred percentage effort in it. He will be topper in class. On the other hand, a student who is not studious and lazy, will not study at all even if he goes in best school or in best classes. If he fails in exam, he will blame teachers for not teaching properly or will tell that exam paper was not proper. In short he will find someone or something to blame for his failure. He will not admit his own mistakes.

Thus the proverb advises that we should learn to be perfect and we must not blame others when we have done a mistake.

If you eat an apple daily, it reduces bad cholesterol and increases good cholesterol in our body. It is rich in vitamins. Hence it can boost the immune system of our body. Apple are also used as a brain tonic. Apples can control the mental illness that can occur with ageing. It can also give relief against allergies. Example no.14:

Cut your cost according to your cloth

The proverb advice to cut and stich the coat according to the cloth available. The size of coat should not exceed the given cloth. or it will become wasted. Hence the tailor will first measure the cloth and he will decide about the coat to be made out of it. Coat will be made according to the given cloth.

The proverb tells us not to spend more than what we earn. Our expenses should be within our limits. Whatever our income is there per month, we must do expenses out of it. If he spends more than his income, he will surely fall into trouble. There are some people who just show up by buying costly clothes, jewels, cars, etc. They want to show others that they are rich. If one does something beyond his limitation he will soon repent his action. He can go bankrupt and thereby mental agony.

This proverb is also applicable to business organizations also. The company owner should also keep in mind its total resources while spending. A company may also take huge loans from the banks to increase their business. If their business goes into losses, then they will face huge financial problems.

We should spend money according to our income and resources. Then we will get full happiness. Hence the saying is of great practical value.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness

The proverb refers to the importance of the cleanliness in a person's life. It tells about the person who is neat, clean and pure are close to God. A person should have the quality of being clean and hygienic.

Everything that God has created is beautiful, it is the man who makes the environment dirty. Dirty environment brings negative thoughts and negativity. Hence we must keep ourselves and our surroundings neat and clean. Clean surroundings will make us to live a healthy life. We minimize the risk of getting sick. It keeps away germs and mosquitoes. It increases our productivity. When we live in clean condition, everybody tend to approach us. Cleanliness extend towards neighbourhood and the whole area enhances the quality of life.

Every person must develop clean social and civic habits. One should take bath everyday, wear clean clothes. Your home should be neat and clean. Wash your hands and legs before you enter your house. It is wrong to throw household waste on roads. You should not spit on roads and urinate in public. This prevents diseases.

Cleanliness at home bring positive vibrations at home. Where there is positive vibrations, there is God. Lord Lakshmi Mata is always there in that house. A clean body and mind is what God desires. Cleanliness is the mantra to succeed in life as we can perform well when we are healthy. It is an important duty of everybody to keep our surroundings neat and clean. That is what is meant by the proverb 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness'.

Example no.16:

Service to man is service to God

The proverb means that selfless service for the cause of humanity is as important as worshiping to God. A person who gives service to man, is in fact giving service to God. Everyone should not only worship to God but also do excellent service for all. It actually connects God with us. God will bless us. The best way to worship God is to devote our lives for the service of poor and needy person. A person who devotes his life for the betterment of human life is loved by God. This  was the main teaching of many great saints.

A person may be religious, pray day and night but if he hurts other, his effort are meaningless. We must therefore help others if we want to go closer to God. If we wish to worship God, the best way is to devote our lives to the service of poor and needy ones. Often rich people donate lakhs of Rupees to temples and other institutions but they do not give a penny to poor and needy person. This is not good. God is here in all human souls. So we must respect all human beings and try to help them whenever needed. It is a privilege to serve mankind because this is worship to God.

Many great souls like Mahatma Gandhi, Savitribai Phule, Jyotirao Phule, Mother Teresa and many others have spend their entire lives for the service of mankind. Everyone recognizes the value of this kind of noble work and acknowledge its greatness. They have earned huge respect and are remembered forever. So in serving society, they have actually served God.

Example no.17:

Actions speak louder than words

The proverb means a person's intention can be judged better by what they do than what they say. Actions means the work we actually do and it can be seen by everybody. Words are just spoken words that are being heard by everyone which necessarily do not give results without the hands of action. If a person wants to achieve his goal. only talking is not enough but he has to work according to it, to achieve his goal. The powerful weapons of action can make one successful. A person must be fully dedicated for his goal. Many great people have achieved their goals in life by hard work, showing their action to achieve the goal instead of just boasting around. Most of the people are just preachers. People find excuses when it come to practicing. A person with empty mind will talk too much and make unnecessary excuses for the failure. Many a times it is proved that actions are much stronger than words. A person who is action oriented will not have the habit of boasting. Wise man never speak about their plans, they show energy only in actions.

People who make tall claims will be without any value if it is not backed by action. Children watch their parents what they are telling and their actual behaviour. If parents tell children not to speak to bad children but they themselves have bad company, it is useless to tell children about it. A man who drinks wine and smoke cannot scold his child when his child smokes and drinks. For good parenting, he must quit bad habits and then tell his children.

When it comes to leadership, actions are very important. A lazy boss will never encourage his employees to do work. An energetic boss are appreciated by everybody. He will work for his goal and achieve it.

It is easier to lie when he uses words only. But a strong action is seen by everybody and everybody believes it. Action surely speak the truth. Hence the proverb ' Action speak louder than words ' is a valuable life lesson.

Example no.18:

Procrastination is the thief of time

The proverb means it is the bad habit of putting off until the day after tomorrow what should have been done the day before yesterday. A person who do not do his duties on time will fail in his life. Time is money hence time should be spent in doing useful work. A person should do his work at right time. Work does not disappear, if we postpone it. It only gets accumulated. A person have limited time to achieve success. Hence if time is lost, everything is lost.

Time is a treasure. If a person is punctual and do things on time, he is respected by everyone. A student who do not study on time will have to study day and night for last minute preparations before the examination. Even then he will not be able to revise entire portion. In the same way if an employee who do work on time will have a greater chance of getting promotion than the ones who does procrastinate. A person cannot catch train if he does not go to station in time. A businessman fails in business if he is not punctual.

We should not allow the habit of procrastination in the early stage of childhood. Procrastination is the thief of time because it steals away the charm of what time bring us. You should be cautious against the dangers of delayed action. Hence the proverb ' Procrastination is the thief of time' are effective and truthful in real life.

Example no.19:

Honesty is the best policy

The proverb means the principle which we have to follow in our life, irrespective of any kind of situation. Honesty means truthful. Every religion teaches us to be honest. Honest person maintain discipline, follow rules and regulation and have strong moral character. Hence they are reliable. Being honest in life leads towards success. A person who is truthful is not afraid of anything. Speaking truth is an art of bravery. To speak truth, a person needs lot of courage and confidence. Even in bad situation, a person who is honest and tells only truth is respected by everybody. He do not have to keep secrets. He will talk freely and naturally.  Hence it makes a person more confident.

Honesty plays an important role in everybody's life. Honesty is first taught at home and then in school. Children must be told right from childhood to practice honesty. They are the future of our country and hence they must be given better opportunities to develop moral  character.

Now a days corruption is spreading like a disease. Many people are going in wrong ways to earn money. A person who tell lies and gain success is for a short time. But in long run, there will be much pain and suffering for him because many people will come to know about his bad deeds . No one will respect him.

Honesty is essential in modern times. Honesty helps us to solve any kind of difficult situation in life. It strengthen our will power. Hence it is rightly said that Honesty is the best policy.

One can achieve success in life only by hard work. Success and hard work go hand in hand. Hard work does not only give us prosperity in life but also keep us busy. If a man works hard, good luck must come to him. A person have to work hard with constant effort to overcome the problems in life. An idle person will never success in life.

Man should take lessons from bees and other small creatures. They work hard throughout their life and work as a team. They collect nectar from flowers and collect it for winter stores. They then eat it in winter season. Similarly if a student works hard throughout whole year, he will be rewarded with brilliant results. In a same way, a hard working farmer will have a good luck to harvest bumper crops. There is no substitute for hard work, no short cut to prosperity.

Most of great man achieved success by lot of hard work. Many great cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar was named as the greatest cricketer of all time. He got this name because of lot of hard work and hours of practice sessions on the field. Great scientist and writers have worked day and night to gain name and fame. Take the example of  Japan and Germany, they have worked day and night to build up their broken economy. Within a span of 20 years, they have become powerful countries.

Nothing comes in life without hard work. Everyone will become successful from hard work, patience and perseverance. It is the industry that conquers all obstacles and gives way for success and happiness.

Example no.21:

Pride goes before a fall

The proverb means that it is a warning that pride and arrogance leads to failure and loss. A person who is very much proud of himself will suffer a failure. It leads to disgrace, while humbleness leads to honour. It is better to be humble and poverty stricken rather than proud and wealthy. A self important person may think that he cannot make mistakes and therefore he is more vulnerable to making mistakes in the first place. He will feel uneasy for all the mistakes that he had made.

If you are intelligent, you should not be proud of it. When a person makes a success, he will be praised by everybody. That will make him so arrogant that he will believe that he cannot make mistakes. This will make him fail in life. Hence pride never wins.

Pride refers to a self important person that manifests itself as independence from God and contrast strikingly with modesty. These big heads will be are looking for the trouble in future. Every person has some quality in themselves but one must not be proud of it and believe that no one will defeat him. You must use them for progress and to help others.

This proverb tells us that a person will get all the treasures in life if he is humble and simple. To be humble is wise and to be proud is foolish.

Example no.22:

Work is worship

This proverb is been used for centuries to tell humans the importance of work. It does not take away the fact of worshipping the God, but it tells us the importance of work. It equates work with worship. There is no better way to worship God than to be hardworking without any complain. We get the blessing of God when we do our work with sincerity. Work done with full attentiveness gives us positive results. It motivates people to work everyday and effortlessly towards achieving their goal in life. Work is the primary key to achieve success and happiness in life.

Our main objective in life is to achieve success and for that we have to work for it. Without work, life will be worthless. Work is a way to fulfill our needs. Everybody has to work to earn money. If a person who does not work will not earn money. These non working people gives many excuses, blames other people and give complain about everybody. That is the reason they are not respected in a society and they remain poor.

All the famous people have achieved success because of their hard work. All the invention in the field of science and technology is because of hard work of scientist. Great ideas and thought are converted into actions by working everyday. Working hard will make an individual more disciplined , a better and healthy man.

Thus we should always worship our work for a better future and a successful life. God had given us work as inspiration to create, to give shape and to repair.

Example no.23:

Nothing succeeds like success

This proverb tells us that success multiply further success. Once you succeed in something, you are in better position to prosper at the next step. Once you get success, you will get name, fame and money. You will automatically try to achieve more. You will keep on moving higher and higher in life.  The more you get, the more you want. It will open up more opportunities to work hard in near future. You will set an example for others to do something extra ordinary in life. Success in early ages raises our confidence in ourselves.

You must work hard with full devotion and determination in order to get succeed in life. If a student gets good percentage in SSC board exam, he will get fame  and his confidence will also increase. Then there is every possibility  for that student to get success in coming years. Hence one should taste the success and celebrate it.

Initially if you don't get success, you should keep on trying and work harder to get success. Once success comes in life, you will automatically get charged up and you will go for it. Then success will bring in more success. Hence Success breads other success. Therefore it is rightly said that nothing succeeds like success.

Example no.24:

One good turn deserves another

This proverb tells us that if someone does you a favour, you should take a chance to repay it. If someone does good to you, you must never forget it. You must do good deeds to everyone if you get a chance for it. A good deed done to others always bring some kind of reward to the person who has done good deeds. Every person should do good deeds to everyone. Then only this world will become a better place to live in.

If you help an elder person to cross the street or help poor person, then one day when you are in difficulty someone will help you. There was a person in our locality, he always use to help his neighbours during difficulty. If any one needed some money, he would readily give money. If somebody in neighbour was sick, he would go to doctor and do the needful. If any marriage occasion was there, then he would help them for marriage function. A few years later, the same gentleman met with minor accident, the whole neighbour went to help him. Some people took him to hospital and paid his bills, some brought medicine. All people in that locality took good care of him and treated him as their family members.

There are many people around the world who show their kindness in many ways. We should  also be one of them. One should never hesitate to do good for others. Because one good turn deserves another.

Example no.25:

Speech is silver, Silence is golden

This proverb tells us that the value of silence is much more than speech. A person should stay silent, if the situation demands so. Silence is a priceless gift. People should listen first and then talk. Good listener is one of the good quality. Listening and keeping silence is an art. You must have an art of keeping quiet and pay attention to what others are telling if you want to be valued by others.

A person must think before he speaks. Because words once spoken cannot be taken back. It is important to know what to speak, when to speak and how much to speak. Many people imagine that whatever they speak  is important and want everybody to listen to him. But this is not possible. If you speak without thinking, you might land up in quarrel. If you want that you should be respected by others, then you have to listen to others and pay attention what others are saying. When it is not necessary to speak, you should remain silent. This is the sign of clever person. A clever man knows when to speak and when not to speak. He will not speak unnecessarily. He will speak what the situation demands. Otherwise he will not talk. The silent one earn the value of gold in the opinion of others.

Hence it is rightly said that Speech is silver, Silence is gold.

Example no.26:

Strike while the iron is hot

Or

Make hay while the sun shines

This proverb tells us that you have to take the advantage of the situation when there is a favourable condition. You should make the most of the opportunities. When opportunities comes at your door, you must use it to best advantage. If the opportunities is missed then they are lost for ever. They never repeat. You may not get another chance. Opportunities are uncertain.

Students must study, work hard and make all round progress at a particular age. If this age is gone, it won't come back. Same for young person, he has to work hard to earn more money for comfortable old age. During young age he has to make use of his skills for a better future. He has to work hard in young age not in old age. Otherwise he will live all his life to regret the missed chance.

Everyone gets some chance in their life and we must grab the opportunities to move forward in life. Then only we can be successful. If the sky is clear and the sun is shining, he must not postpone the business of making hay to the next day. In the other words, we must strike when the iron is hot.

Example no.27:

Science and modern inventions :

A blessing or a curse

Science has provided man a life of ease, pleasure and enjoyable life. Science has invented marvelous machines with modern technology. Man's life has become more convenient and advanced due to modern inventions, computers, mobiles, laptops, etc. Internet has brought people of the world  together in the fields of information and communication, where one can do business at any part of the world. It can have access to abundant resources such as education. Public transport has made people's daily life very convenient. It take only few hours to travel by planes. It have made the world a global village.

It have reduced death rate and increased life expectancy. With the help of science man have made huge progress in the field of health care, education, space research program, entertainment, energy fields and many other fields. Man feels more safe, secured and comfortable today than ever before because of scientific development and advancement.  It is indeed the blessing of science that we have made a great progress.

A coin has two sides, we have to consider the other side also. Pollution all around are increasing day by day which are ruining people's chance of survival. Factories have polluted rivers, land and air. Because of extensive application of modern science in day to day life, the problem of global warming have increased. Industrialization has led to slums. There is increasing application of computers and machines which have resulted in unemployment. The power of internet is being abused through unhealthy practices.

Science has put in our hands terrible weapons like nuclear bombs, machine guns, hydrogen and chemical bombs , fighter planes, biological weapons and many more can cause violence and death of many innocent people. The atom bomb dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War 2 has its highly destructive effects existing till date. We are in danger of destroying ourselves with these inhuman means.

Hence, it is clear that if science is rightly used it can bring heaven on earth and if wrongly used it can turn earth into hell by destroying all living beings.

Example no.28:

Practice makes perfect

Practice makes perfect means that if you practice something enough, you will be able to do it perfectly in due course. If you do something again and again, you will get better and better at it. It enables us to do well. Practicing everyday improves our skill and knowledge for success. You can this proverb holds true in many ways of life.

When you want to be a good cricketer, you have to practice everyday in the field. Even if you want to learn new instruments like guitar, you have to practice everyday. If you want to be a bodybuilder, you have to workout everyday in gym. Merit holders in board examinations have studied throughout the year and made themselves perfect in all the subjects. It is only regular  practice that makes one perfect. Many scientist and all the great personalities have borne out of this proverb. There is no shortcut to become mastery in any field.

 Example no.29:

God helps those who help themselves

This proverb tells us the value of hard work, of taking responsibility of our actions and of taking care of ourselves. God is there to give us spiritual and mental powers, not magical powers. God is the creator of universe and he had blessed us with some special quality, our duty is to utilize our individual capacity in right manner. It is foolish to leave all things on God without doing any efforts. God can't help who don't do any efforts either physically or mentally.

There was a boy who was studying in Std. X. He use to play games and was busy with online activities. For full one year he didn't study at all. During final examination also, he didn't study too much and was busy with online friends. Just one week before result, he went to various temples, made offerings and performed puja. He thought that God will answer his prayers and will give him a good result in the examination. But he failed. Such a student will find himself in shock when he sees his result.

God does not help idlers. Work is a devotion. We must work hard to be famous. Only work can lead us to peak. When a person work hard, God will help that person to accomplish his goal. It is better to work hard and then pray God to help us succeed in our hard work. Our prayers will strengthen our motive. We should depend on the gifts that God has given to us to make progress in life. We must not tell God to do things for us without hard work. Hence it is rightly said that God helps those who help themselves who work hard with full dedication.

India is a land of diverse people, culture and languages. No one can harm us if we are united. The movement we fight among ourselves, enemies will try to take the advantage of situation. This is true for every relationship as well as in our professional life. We should recognize the importance of staying united and imbibe it in our life to live a happier life. We must follow the path of unity.

Example no 31:

 Charity begins at home

This proverb tells us that one should first provide for the need of his family before helping others for charity. You must first fulfill the needs of near ones before you start to help others who are far away. We should take care and love our family members and then we can show love to the outsiders. We must talk freely with our family members, taking care of them when they are ill or sharing foods with them. You must first ensure that your family members are taken good care and are comfortable.

We must help our near ones and then all other people. The home, the society, the country should be your first priority as people need you full support and cooperation. We must not neglect it. Thus it is rightly said that charity begins at home.
